Grateful For

This week I am grateful for the almost lost art of letter writing.

For boxes full of old letters and notes and photos and  the places those memories can transport us.

For the interconnectedness of our past and present and future as told through the trinkets collected along our path.

Read here for more.

Have a lovely Weekend.

This is a part of something altogether much grander, please check it out at Maxbella Loves.

This post has reminded me that one of the items on my 52-in-52 list is to choose a month and write a personal letter a day [and actually send them Felicity!] to someone special.

Am off to check out your link,

felicity x

It's sad to think that our old letters will be like relics from the past for our children. They may never receive an actual long, heartfelt letter from a penpal... weird huh! x

During the renos we found a box of love letters husband and I had written when we first dating. It's now specially stored in a safe place. I like to take them out and read them now and again. Reminds me of our past and our future. Thank you x

It is a lost art.
I commented on your other post too but I wanted to add others I found in the filing cabinet 2 weeks ago I kept.
I am going to copy them and send them back to my friends ...some were sent on their overseas adventures, some talked about new babies and others were full fo love. So mnay wonderful memories.
Emails just aren't the same are they.

@Sarah, so lovely to have those special letters we are so lucky to have these reminders.
@Trish, don't feel sad you threw out some things, I think its quite liberating to that sometimes but what a lovely idea to send those stories back to the senders to remind them also of their journey.
@Maxabella, it is a shame indeed!
@Felicity, do it!
